Smriti Khanna, who played main vamp Ritika, cried inconsolably. It was interesting to see the heroine and vamp -- Radhika and Smriti -- hugging each other and bursting into tears. Finally, Shakti had to calm them down.
Shakti says, “The word ‘end’ itself is very disheartening, so it’s natural for us to get emotional. This was a very special experience for me and let’s see where destiny take us from here.”
Mohit Abrol, who played the villain, Nirbhay, adds, “Nirbhay will remain with me forever. It was a very challenging role and I had to work really hard to get the nuances of my character right. I had just started and the show is ending; I wish I could do it for some more time.”
Though everything looks fine on the surface, prod a little and you hear murmurs of dissent. Says a team member on the condition of anonymity, “There are many shows that are stretched forever. It’s normal for TRPs to dip once in a while; we were not even given a chance to revive it. Our show definitely had the potential to bounce back -- we made some mistakes and the track became a little dull, but ek chance toh banta hi hai.”
